Nancy Nebenzahl Occupational therapist

Nancy Nebenzahl, OT/L CHT

Licensed Occupational Therapist, Certified Hand Therapist

Nancy, former owner of Hands-On Physical Therapy (HOPTS), received her BSOT in 1979 and her certification in hand therapy in 1991. She is also certified in Dry Needling. Nancy established HOPTS in 2001, originally as Hand Therapy Specialists, at that time with a clinical focus on treatment of injuries involving the arm and hand. In 2007, Nancy expanded the clinical services offered to include expert physical therapy. In December of 2016, HOPTS was aquired by Altenheim, a not-for-profit organization possessing the same high standards for patient care. HOPTS continues to provide expert care, now with a wider range of services available to the people of Strongsville and surrounding communities.

Nancy, along with Altenheim, expects every patient coming through the door to feel valued and know that the staff share her commitment to working with each patient to reach their therapy goals.

"I am proud of every therapist who works here; for their commitment in providing highly effective therapy services and always putting the needs of the patient first. Our office staff is also outstanding, daily going above and beyond to exceed the expections of our patients."

Nancy has lived in Strongsville for over 25 years, and is actively involved in the community both professionally and personally. In her free time she enjoys skiing, kayaking, and hiking.

Andrea Praschan

Andrea Praschan, DPT

Doctorate of Physical Therapy

Andrea has a solid background in outpatient orthopedics, treating people of all ages. She is well versed in a broad range of physical therapy techniques, treatments, and modalities to reduce pain and restore function. She has special interest in treating shoulders and knees, especially joint replacements. She makes therapy fun while providing effective treatment to her patients.

"The biggest reason I went in to P.T. was watching my uncle. He is a physical therapist in Pittsburgh and I would help in his office when I was younger. He was so passionate about helping others he made me want to do the same."

Andrea is originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (and yes she is a Steelers fan!). She graduated in 2006 from Duquesne University with a double major in biology and health science, and went on to receive her Doctor of Physical Therapy, also from Duquesne, in 2008. Andrea enjoys reading, exercise (especially yoga) and spending time with her 2 year old niece, Layla.

Additionally, she is certified in Dry Needling.

"My certfication in Dry Needling 2 years ago has transformed the way I am able to treat my patients, accelerating their healing and recovery after injury or even with chronic conditions."

Jackie enjoys traveling, step aerobics, reading and spending time with her family during her free time. Patients comment about Jackie’s caring and positive attitude that helps inspire them to reach their therapy goals.

Debbie Brighter

Front Desk

You can find Debbie smiling at you from our front desk. In fact you can "hear" her smile in the way she greets you on the phone. Debbie joined us August of 2016, and was formerly a dental hygienist. She enjoys playing tennis, doing yoga, and in the winter you can find her on the slopes at Boston Mills teaching skiing. Debbie also loves to travel in her spare time. She's a Steeler's Fan but we like her anyway!

"Coming from a healthcare background, it was so comfortable and good fit to join this team".
